In the UK, all UAV activity is strictly controlled by the CAA.
For any company to provide UAV services, they must hold a CAA Issued Aerial Work Permit (AWP). This stipulates the requirements for all operators to abide by, in conjunction with the definitive UK document on UAV operation, CAP 722.
Bridgeway Aerial Ltd has been a holder of an AWP since 2010 and we have gone one step further by writing an Operations Manual (OM).
This is a constantly evolving document that sets out all aspects of our operation. The permission granted by the CAA allows us to fly up to 400ft and out to 500m from the UAV pilot. In addition, we adhere to the strict safety procedures as set out in our Operations Manual.
The CAA have published a list of UAV operators with a valid AWP which can be found on their website here.
